Ig k and l reactive lymph node ViewRNA eZ Assays on Leica BOND RX automation

Follicular architecture of lymph node with Ig light chain non-clonality: equal distribution of IGKC and IGLC-staining lymphocytes (lighter stain cells). Plasma cells are seen as intense-red stained cells (upper right hand corner image-arrowhead). Note: the sensitivity of the assay allows detection of IGKC and IGLC not only in plasma cells but also in B-lymphocytes.

 

Ig k and l lymphoma kappa clonal ViewRNA eZ Assays on Leica BOND RX automation

Predominance of IGKC-staining lymphocytes (lighter stain cells) over IGLC-staining lymphocytes. Plasma cells are seen as intense-red stained cells (upper right hand side arrowhead). IGLC probe has cross reactivity with IGL-like 1, the transcripts of which can be present in IGKC clonal lymphocytes.

Follicular architecture of lymph node with IGLC clonality: predominance of IGLC-staining lymphocytes (lighter stain cells-right hand image) over IGKC-staining lymphocytes(left hand image). Plasma cells are seen as intense-red stained cells (arrowhead upper left corner). Unlike IGLL1, there is no homolog of IGKC and hence IGLC-clonality is better appreciated. Note: the mantle zone shows presence of normal non-clonal B-lymphocytes (arrow).
